V1 Kickball Classic-Collin and Stacy's new house

Happy Memorial Day to all my loyal blog reader(s).  What a fantastic weekend to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family!

My roommate, Katie, organized a team for the Volume One Kickball Classic which competed both Friday and Saturday this Memorial Day weekend.

 The Team
Our First game ended in a tie, the tie breaker was a foot race around the bases...their guy won.
We were the...Rebecca Black Fan Club...so go Friday!
I had a great game with the second one we played.  Wheaties played their part.
Mr. Brian Day was our pitcher.
One of the R.B. Fan Club practicing during an injury timeout.  One of their players ran full force into out first basemen...they had to find another player after that.
My MVP game...I had to slide twice.
 The Big Board

In between all the action at the diamond we helped Collin roof his and Stacy's new home.

 The House

On a previous weekend we cleared out all the stuff that was on the inside

The house was built when the railroad first came to town and is a 100 years old.

The Homeowner and Mr. Brian Day

Mohawk!

So you may have noticed a new hairstyle in the Boundary Waters post.  I decided to shave my hair into a Mohawk for the trip, just to show Nature whats up...and that this guy means business.

Needless to say that Nature got the hint.

The new do
The new do taking a nap.
The new do playing cards...we lost.
The new do fishing for bottles.
The new do added some abilities...such as amazing ninja stick moves.

Boundary Waters Trip

My good bud "the classy" Ryan Morgan invited me on a trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area this past weekend.  We had a blast, it was so fun that we still have smiles stuck on our faces.

We left Thursday May 19th-Got back on Sunday May 22

Ryan and I the morning we headed out.
The view from our Outfitters dock.
Bringing the canoes down.  We had 3 canoes for 8 people, 2 three person and a double.
Ryan and I took the double.
Portage!  We went through 3 portages to get to our campsite on Horseshoe Lake.
 It was very peaceful.
Aha! We made it to the camp site...I think I am pointing out what a nice view we have.
This is where I slept the first night...it was very relaxing.
 The crew is tuckered out.
This one is for Mom, we saw two loons that kept coming back around our campsite the first day.
The second day we went searching for an old logging road and a car that was left on it.
We went on a pretty good hike, we found many samples of animal "leavings", but no car or logging road...It was still pretty fun to wander around in this dense forest, it was like an adventure course with all the downed trees and tight pathways.
 Our crew
Some of the guys went fishing...they didn't get any.
Ryan patiently waits as I take pictures.
End of the trip, this is the outfitters cabin.  It was pretty awesome, very remote off the Gunflint Trail.

Happy Mothers Day!

I just wanna say that I am so thankful for my mom.  You've always been there for me, and I can't say how good it feels to have such a supportive base to fall back upon.  So many things that I don't know how to say. I Love You, Thanks Mom!

Collin's Death Machine O' Victory

My poor Dreadnought got it's arms blown off...He head butted people afterwards.

Sneaky window

War has done wonders for the town of Sunnyville

Collin was the victor in this encounter, he completely shattered all hope...no hope was left...it was...hopeless.
